IndieCommerce 2.0 Update
April 4, 2024
Like most major construction projects, IndieCommerce 2.0 has had its fair share of delays. We know that has been frustrating for stores not just eager to transition to the new platform but desperately needing to modernize their website, ensure they are competitive, serve their customers needs, and optimize their online sales.
The ABA team working on this project are unwavering in this commitment and the project continues to be a top priority for ABA.
The ABA Board has approved an additional $300K to help expedite as many store site migrations by the end of the year as possible.
It has been a couple of months since our last feature update. During this time, our team traveled to Cincinnati for Wi 2024 where we conducted an in-person workshop and met many IndieCommerce users in person. We migrated several IndieLite and IndieCommerce stores and developed some key features for IC 2.0.

On Tuesday October 31, 2023, at 7:00 am Eastern, all websites on the IndieCommerce 2.0 platform will be moved to maintenance mode. The sites will remain under maintenance for about 20 - 30 minutes while we upgrade the platform and all sites to Drupal 10.
Creating and Editing Content : CK Editor is a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor that makes it easy for content creators to create and manage content on a website. The CK Editor on IndieCommerce 2.0 has been upgraded from version 4 to version 5, making the experience much smoother for content creators. With the new editor it is much easier to manage links, alt text, adjust images (size and alignment) and create tables.
